  1. Caroline H. J. Williams (verified owner)

    Just bought the book – I think it is a great overview of all the current evidence based approaches in emotional regulation from mindfulness to compassionate mind. It reads well and has the feel of the Leahy and Holland Treatment Plans book. A good buy. (-;

  2. David M (verified owner)

    Emotion regulation is a powerful, new psychotherapy perspective that embodies both traditional and new wave psychotherapy techniques. Leahy, Tirch, and Napolitano skillfully translate the latest and most important findings and strategies of emotion regulation in this lucid, intelligent, accessible handbook for the mental health practitioner.

    I think Dr. Tirch and his co-authors offer up a lot of wisdom with a wholesome dose of practicality, wisdom, empathy, and rationality. . This text was recommended to read before his presentation . I have recently had a workshop with Dr. Tirch. He was truly a good teacher of emotional regulation. He also has an excellent sense of humor, very important in this work.

    I am a clinician and this book has been extremely helpful in it’s ease of use, the examples of interventions suggested, and it’s cross reference to other interventions and theories/approaches to a variety of presenting issues. I highly recommend!

  5. LW (verified owner)
